Lead sources and calling leads back fast

Send leads from your website form or Follow Up Boss, and your AI employee calls them back within calling hours, with retries you control.

The Leads page holds people your AI employees can follow up with: leads captured on calls, sent from your forms, or imported from a list.

Calling leads needs a paid plan, which will apply once billing switches on. It also needs your calling registration finished. On the trial, leads are saved, but nobody is called.

Your website form

Create a lead source on the Leads page. Give it a name, choose Who calls these leads, leave Call each new lead right away ticked, and choose What the calls are: follow-ups and reminders (no selling), or sales or marketing calls.

You get a private Intake URL. Copy it straight away; it won't be shown again. Paste it into Zapier, Make or your form tool as the place to send new leads.

Each lead needs a phone number. Also send the exact consent wording the person agreed to. A lead without consent is saved but never called automatically.

Follow Up Boss

Connect Follow Up Boss with the account owner's API key (in Follow Up Boss: Admin → API). New people added there show up in Nerro within seconds. Every call with them is logged on their Follow Up Boss timeline with a summary. You choose which Follow Up Boss sources to call.

How fast leads are called

When a lead with consent arrives inside calling hours, your employee calls right away. If nobody answers, by default it tries again about 3 hours later, then the next day. It stops once the person picks up or calls you.

For each source, you can set:

  • A lead that arrives outside calling hours: call when hours open, 3 or 6 hours later, the next day, hold it for you to release, or don't call it.
  • If nobody answers, try again after (minutes): up to 9 retries.
  • Ignore the same number again within (minutes): stops a form submitted twice from calling twice.

Calls always follow the calling rules, including at most 3 calls to a number in 24 hours. For an overview of how Nerro decides when it may call, see calling rules for lead calls.
