When a caller needs a person, they get one.
An AI that can't hand off is a dead end. Nerro's transfers the calls that need you and says plainly when no one is free.

Nerro's AI transfers a call to your team when the caller asks for a person or the call is urgent. Urgent calls go to your emergency number if you set one, others to your main transfer number. When the line supports it, the person who picks up hears a short intro first. Outside your hours it follows your after-hours rule: take a message, transfer emergencies only, or transfer as normal. If no number is set or the transfer can't connect, it takes a message instead of leaving the caller stuck.
How a transfer works.
The rules you set once, applied on every call.
- Who it goes to
- A routine transfer number and, optionally, a separate emergency number.
- When it transfers
- When the caller asks for a person, or the call matches your urgent signs.
- What your person hears
- When your line supports it, a short intro with who's calling and why, before the caller is connected.
- After hours
- Your choice: take a message, transfer emergencies only, or transfer at any hour.
- When it can't connect
- It tells the caller and takes a message. It never promises a callback time it can't keep.
- Loops
- It won't transfer to a number that forwards back to Nerro.
When to route straight to a person instead.
Where the other option is the better choice.
- Someone is always free to answer and your callers expect a person every time.
- Calls where the first words matter most, like complaints from key clients.

Does each transfer cost extra?
No. There's no fee per transfer; the call's minutes count as usual.
Can urgent calls go to a different number?
Yes. Set an emergency number and urgent calls go there; everything else goes to your routine number.
What if no one answers the transfer?
If it can't connect, the AI takes a message. If your cell's voicemail picks up, the call is connected to that voicemail, so point transfers at a line someone answers, or turn off voicemail on it.
Does it transfer after hours?
Only if you choose. The default after hours is to take a message; you can transfer emergencies only, or transfer at any hour.
Can it transfer a hot lead while they're on the line?
Yes, during your business hours, if a transfer number is set. It saves the lead first, so nothing is lost if the transfer fails.
How does it know a call is urgent?
Each industry has urgent signs, like a burst pipe or a court deadline today, and you can add your own. Dangerous ones, like a gas smell, get "get out and call 911 first" before anything else.
Can a caller always reach a person?
Not always live. During your hours it transfers when asked; otherwise, or if no one picks up, it takes a message and says plainly that someone will call back.
Nerro is not an emergency service and does not replace 911. A transfer connects the caller to the number you set; whether someone answers depends on that line.
