Acceptable Use Policy
What your business may and may not do with Nerro. It's part of the Terms of Service. Last updated October 21, 2026.
1. Calls and texts need consent
- Only call or text people who contacted your business or agreed to be contacted by it, with the kind of consent the law requires. For sales calls by an AI voice in the US, that's prior express written consent.
- No purchased, rented, shared or scraped lists. Consent given to someone else doesn't carry over to you.
- Keep proof of each person's consent and show it if we, a carrier or a regulator ask.
- Honor the National Do Not Call Registry, state lists and your own do-not-call list. Never contact someone by other means after they asked you to stop.
2. Calling rules
- No random or sequential dialing, no robocall campaigns, and no rotating or borrowed numbers to avoid being identified or blocked.
- Don't show a caller ID you don't own, and don't hide who is calling.
- Hold any state telemarketing registration, bond or license that applies to you.
3. Honest AI
- Don't set up an AI employee to claim it's a person, to deny being an AI when asked, or to pretend to be another business, a government agency or a real individual.
- Give callers any notice the law needs where they are, such as that the call is transcribed.
- Don't use Nerro to mislead people about prices, products, debts, prizes or emergencies.
4. Information Nerro must not handle
- Protected health information: Nerro isn't HIPAA-ready, so medical and dental practices are waitlisted.
- Full payment card numbers, bank logins, passwords or Social Security numbers. AI employees refuse to take them, and Nerro masks card and Social Security numbers before saving a transcript.
- Services aimed at children under 16.
5. Content that's never allowed
Fraud, phishing or scams; harassment, threats or hate; illegal goods or services; sexual content; and messaging about alcohol, cannabis, firearms or tobacco where carriers or the law restrict it. Also anything that tries to break into, overload, copy or get around the limits of Nerro.
6. What Nerro enforces
Before any outbound call, Nerro checks for a consent record and your do-not-call list, limits calls to daytime hours in the person's state and to 3 calls in 24 hours, and has your AI employee say it's an AI calling for your business, offer right away to take the person off your list, and say the call is transcribed. These safeguards help, but they don't replace your own obligations under the law.
7. If something goes wrong
If we see, or someone reports, use that breaks this policy, we may pause calling or texting on your account straight away, ask for your consent records, and share account details and call records with carriers, the industry traceback group or authorities as the law requires. Repeated or serious breaches end the account, as the Terms describe.
To report misuse of Nerro, including an unwanted call or text from a business that uses it, email support@nerro.si with the number that contacted you and when.
